Through the Eyes of an Eight-Year-Old: Dreams, Unicorns, and Superpowers
There’s something truly magical about talking to an eight-year-old. Their imagination knows no bounds, their dreams are vibrant, and their hearts are full of wonder. Recently, I had the joy of chatting with a sweet little girl during a spring photography session in Hendersonville, TN, and her answers to some fun questions were just too precious not to share.
A Superpower Like No Other
When I asked her, “If you could have any superpower, what would it be?” she didn’t hesitate for a second before answering:
💐 “Shooting flowers out of my hands.”
Forget fireballs or invisibility—this little girl dreams of a world where kindness blooms, quite literally, at her fingertips. And what better place to capture such a whimsical imagination than in the blooming fields and parks of Hendersonville and Gallatin during spring? The soft golden light, the fresh greenery, and the colorful wildflowers make for the perfect backdrop for a spring photo session with kids.
The Unicorn of Her Dreams
Every little girl deserves a unicorn, right? So, naturally, I had to ask, “If you had a pet unicorn, what would you name it?”
🦄 “Cotton Candy.”
It’s the perfect name for a magical creature—soft, sweet, and full of joy. I can almost picture Cotton Candy galloping through the clouds, leaving behind a swirl of pink and blue in its wake. And just like that, I’m reminded why I love photographing children —their wonder and excitement are contagious.
A Dreamy Treehouse in the Sky
Treehouses are the ultimate childhood getaway, and I was curious what hers would look like. Without missing a beat, she answered:
🌸 “Pink.”
A pink treehouse, high up in the branches, where fairy tales come to life and adventure awaits. Maybe it’s covered in twinkle lights, with a fluffy rug and stacks of books inside. Or maybe it’s a space for tea parties with Cotton Candy the unicorn. Either way, it sounds like the perfect hideaway—just like the charming outdoor photography sessions.
Gifts from the Heart
Finally, I asked her what she’s really good at, and her response was as sweet as she is:
🎶✍️ “Singing and drawing.”
There’s something so special about an eight-year-old’s creativity. Whether she’s belting out her favorite song or filling pages with colorful doodles, her talents are a reflection of the bright, joyful energy she brings to the world. Capturing moments like these—filled with laughter, personality, and authenticity—is what makes family and children’s spring photography in Gallatin and Hendersonville, so meaningful.
Seeing the World Through Her Eyes
Talking to kids is a reminder to embrace the magic in everyday moments—to dream big, to believe in unicorns, and to find beauty in the little things. Maybe we could all use a superpower like hers, spreading kindness and joy like flowers in the wind.
Spring is the perfect time to capture these magical childhood moments! If you’re looking for a children’s photographer in Hendersonville or Gallatin, TN, I’d love to help you freeze these sweet memories in time. Let’s create something beautiful together!
