A Downtown Elegant Wedding at Noelle in Nashville, TN
There’s something magical about downtown Nashville, and the charm of Noelle hotel amplifies that magic tenfold, making it an impeccable venue for a wedding. Our day began with meeting the month-of coordinator from Mirwood Events, Annika, to go over the meticulously planned 12-hour schedule. The excitement in the air was palpable as we popped into the Bridal Suite to greet the bride and her party. The room was bustling with activity as the talented team from Indigo Beauty Collective worked their magic, ensuring everyone looked their best while enjoying a delightful brunch.
Bill and I took a moment to soak in the historic ambiance of the hotel before gathering the bride and groom's personal details to begin our shoot. The bride’s theme was a sophisticated blend of elegance and class, with a timeless color palette of white, green, and black. I chose to capture the bride’s details in the Saidee Gallery, an exquisite spot with its pristine white walls, soaring ceilings, and an abundance of natural light. It was the perfect backdrop for these elegant shots.
Meanwhile, Bill headed to the Groom’s Suite, which also boasted ample natural light but with a more masculine touch, thanks to its rich shadows. Among the bride's cherished items were her grandmother’s ring and a lapel pin, both of which she incorporated into her bouquet—a heartfelt tribute to hold when she walked down the aisle.
A particularly touching moment was when the bride presented the groom with a white handkerchief embroidered with the words "keep your **** together" in blue—a playful nod to his sentimental nature.
The couple opted to have a first look to keep emotions at bay. Their first look took place in the Archives Room on the Mezzanine, a moment filled with pure joy and love, perfectly setting the tone for the day.
We captured stunning first look portraits around the hotel, making use of its unique features like the elevator and the grand staircase. The ceremony was an intimate affair, attended by about 75 of their closest family and friends. It was brief yet beautiful, creating a perfect segue into the lively cocktail hour.
As the guests enjoyed cocktails, we whisked the couple up to the rooftop for some epic shots with the Nashville skyline and the "Batman" building in their backdrop. We made sure to include the Nissan Stadium in some photos, a nod to the groom’s fervent sports fandom.
While we were away taking portraits, the staff had flipped the Saidee Gallery from a ceremony setup to the dinner setup, the Gallery at Noelle was transformed into an elegant, candlelit room, perfectly reflecting the bride’s theme of sophisticated elegance. As we entered, we were greeted by an the last bit natural light streaming through the large windows, each one adorned with beautiful white flowers delicately arranged in glass vases. The sunlight filtering through these arrangements created a soft, ethereal glow, enhancing the serene ambiance of the space.
The tables, set with pristine white tablecloths, were a vision of timeless beauty. Each table was adorned with fine china, creating a classic and refined dining experience. Tea-light candles, placed strategically, added a warm, romantic flicker, casting a gentle light that danced across the table settings. The subtle glow of the candles, combined with dimming natural light, created an inviting and intimate atmosphere.
At the center of each table were clear glass vases filled with sweet white flowers, their simplicity and elegance complementing the overall decor. The arrangements, crafted by The Farmers Florist, included lush greenery that added a fresh and vibrant touch to the tables. The combination of white and green created a harmonious and calming aesthetic, blending seamlessly with the room’s white walls and high ceilings.
The Saidee Gallery room, with its elegant floral arrangements and refined table settings, was a true reflection of the bride's vision. The space exuded a sense of grace and charm, making it the perfect setting for capturing timeless memories of such a special day. Dinner and speeches followed, neither of which disappointed. The heartfelt speeches brought tears to many eyes, while the dinner was a culinary delight. The evening then transitioned into a night of dancing, with the bride and groom leading the charge. Their energy was infectious, and they remained on the dance floor until it was time for their grand exit.
The exit itself was spectacular, with a flurry of confetti streamers creating a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere. Before bidding the couple farewell, we made one last stop at Printers Alley to capture a few shots under the iconic neon sign. The cheers and congratulations from passersby added to the festive spirit of the night.
This wedding will forever stand out in my memory, not only for its elegance and the breathtaking venue but primarily because of the sweet and genuine nature of the bride and groom. Their love and joy were truly the heart of the celebration, making it an unforgettable day for everyone involved.
