The day started early in Columbia, TN for these Middle TN Wedding Photographers and our wedding party. As I arrived at 6:00 am at Mike Wolfe's Two Lane's Guesthouse, in downtown Columbia, so were the makeup and hair professionals from Salon Blonde in Springhill, TN. I can honestly say that I have never worked with makeup and hair artist that were as sweet and professional as they were. I enjoyed the vibe they gave off, no one seemed rushed or running behind, which made my job as the photographer very easy. They along with the kind bride and bridal party made for such genuine and lighthearted images. The morning went by very relaxed and enjoyable, the bride got to her wedding on time, but not before having a first look with her flower girls and matron of honor. Their reactions are so cute in the following images below.

Jon and Amanda's venue of choice was one of personal specialty because it was the garden located in her mom and Dad's home backyard in Columbia, TN.

Amanda also had a sweet first look moment with her dad and as you can see by his reaction, he was impressed by her beauty and elegance for this special occasion.

The ceremony went beautifully as expected with Jon and the boys waiting with anticipation to see Amanda step around the corner. The boys blushed and smiled on seeing her, which was the sweetest thing ever. Jon grinned very big which made his dimples even deeper.

Afterward a delicious and intimate meal was served with just immediate family. The place settings were just gorgeous in the colors of dark green and gold accents and the kids even had their own sweet table. The rest of the story I will leave for Amanda and Jon to tell in their own words down below.

What was your most anticipated part of the day?

Jon: Seeing Amanda for the first time.

Amanda: Seeing Jon for the first time.

Did anything unexpected happen? What was the outcome?

Actually, nothing unexpected happened on the day of our wedding. It all played out how we were expecting.

What ended up being your favorite part of the day?

Jon: Being with family and friends - enjoying the special occasion with everyone.

Amanda: Getting ready with all of the ladies at the Two Lanes Guesthouse on the Columbia, TN square. We had Stylists from Salon Blonde (Spring Hill, TN) come to the loft to do our hair and makeup. Since it was such a small wedding, I was able to have my mom, mother-in-law and sister-in-law join the bridal party for some pampering too!

What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?

Jon: Enjoy the day and don't sweat the small stuff.

Amanda: Don't worry about the small details of the day. It's going to play out however it plays out no matter how much planning you did leading up to the big day. Just enjoy each moment and go with the flow.

Were you nervous? How did you squash the nerves?

Jon: I was actually not nervous.

Amanda: I had moments of nervousness while getting ready, so I would just stop thinking about the moment I would see Jon and just enjoyed the time getting ready with the ladies who mean the most to me.

What was the biggest surprise on your wedding day?

We will answer this question together because we surprised our guests with our baby gender reveal in our wedding cake! We are expecting our first baby together (due November 2021) and we wanted to find out the gender in a unique way. We decided that we would wait to find out the gender at our wedding, so we gave the gender print out in a sealed envelope to the cake baker, Pig n Pit (Spring Hill, TN). Sherry, the owner, was the only person who knew the gender of our baby until our wedding day! We announced we were going to find out the gender with our close family and friends right before we cut the cake. It was a nice surprise for everyone, including Jon and I. We found out we're having a BOY!

What was your wedding inspiration?

Modern Boho. We wanted the day to have a casual, relaxed feel since we had our intimate wedding in my parents' backyard on the brick paver patio in Columbia, TN .

It was a fabulous day for these TN Wedding Photographers and am so blessed to have been a part of their special day!
