Here is a little history and some facts gathered by these Columbia, Tn Wedding and Engagement Photographers

How did you two meet? Tell us a little about your love story.

Her - We met through Cru, a campus ministry, game night event in college.

Him - She thought I was loud and annoying, and I thought she just ignored good advice. But once she finally remembered my name we hit it off pretty well:)

What is a good weekend for the two of you?

Her - Either having dinner out then going home and watching a movie while I crochet, or getting together with family and friends.

Him - Not much going on, getting to relax and watch a movie or read a book in the evening after going to a thrift store or something in the day. Maybe something very adventurous every now and again like rock climbing. And of course, good food:)

What are your favorite quotes?

Her - “Remember He is the artist and you are only the picture. You can't see it. So quietly submit to be painted---i.e., keep fulfilling all the obvious duties of your station (you really know quite well enough what they are!), asking forgiveness for each failure and then leaving it alone. You are in the right way. Walk---don't keep on looking at it.”

C.S. Lewis

Him - "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us." J.R.R. Tolkien

How would your fiancé describe you?

Her - Serving and caring

Him - Loyal, confident, caring, carefree, warm.

How do you like to spend your days together?

Her - I like spending out days driving through the countryside going thrifting, and getting sandwiches and root beer at our favorite store.

Him - Thrifting, pretty scenery, food, puns, food, relaxing with a good movie and food.

Do you have Bible verses that speak deeply to you and if so, what are they?

Her - Prov 3:5-6, Phil 1:6, Hab 1:5; Dan 4:25; Eph 1:13

Him - Isaiah 40:31, Hebrews 11, John 21:25, Ephesians 6:10-18

What are some of the quirky, sweet things you love about your fiancé?

Her - His puns- most days. He also goes on random rants about history and European soccer clubs. I do not always understand what he is talking about, but I enjoy the conversations. He also can make friends with anyone- it is not quirky, just something I appreciate.

Him - She scrunches her nose when she thinks something is funny. She almost berates herself for making a pun. The fact that she always overreacts to my puns and says how terrible they are when I know she secretly loves them and wouldn't have me any other way.

What was your Engagement session like for you? Was it what you expected??

Her - It was more fun than I expected and I became comfortable quickly. I liked working with Deva as she was kind and encouraging. She is someone you can make fast friends with, which puts you at ease. Very thankful.

Him - It was very good, I enjoyed the whole experience and working with Deva was fun and easy. I will say it was much colder than expected but I suppose that couldn't be helped.

Julia and Caleb decided that they wanted their engagement session photographed in Downtown Columbia, TN where my husband and I call home and have lived all of our married life (3 years). My sweet couple have visited here numerous times and just love the downtown area, but especially the quaint little bookstore named Duck River Book Store on the square. As a matter of fact, as I was arriving to their session, they were just leaving the bookstore with their purchases in hand. As we got started it was rather breezy, but the weather was slightly cool. I always feel bad for my brides because they are always the ones who suffer the most when it is cold outside. Caleb was a wonderful gentleman however, so when we were not shooting, he gave Julia his jacket to stay warm. As we made our rounds in downtown, we chatted and laughed getting to know a little bit more about one another with every click of the shutter. I found out that Caleb has a great sense of humor and Julia finds him quite funny, as well as me. We found some beautiful locations with interesting architecture, nooks and secret gardens, (take a look at the photos below) but as the light began to fade and the air went from a chill to just plain cold, I knew that our time was over for this session. Our last few minutes were used in the parking deck on the top level. The light was beautiful and, so was my couple, Julia and Caleb. It was a joy for me to photograph them and to see how loving and kind they were to one another. Thank you again for the best afternoon and freshest blueberry muffins I have ever had!!

It was a great day for us as Middle TN Wedding Photographers.
