Macy and Andrew's Engagement Session

How did you two meet? Tell us a little about your love story.
Our dads are best friends. We had heard a lot about each other but had never met. We finally met at an impromptu dinner. He thought I was the prettiest girl he had ever seen. I wanted nothing to do with him. But on Christmas, my heart changed, and we started dating one week later. On New Year's Eve, we made "us" official. We were engaged two months later.
What is a good weekend for the two of you?
Macy - A good weekend for us would be when Andrew is not working. We like to work on our new house and explore new places to eat.
Andrew - A good weekend for us is when we can relax and spend time together because I am not working. We like to go on picnics and explore different parks.
What are your favorite quotes?
Macy - My favorite quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt. She said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams".
Andrew - I love the quote- "In the end, it is not the years in your life that count, its the life in your years."
How would your fiancé describe you?
Macy - Andrew describes me as beautiful, intelligent, having a kind heart, stylish, funny, and sweet.
Andrew - Macy would describe me as grumpy, funny, smart, athletic, and good at his job.
How do you like to spend your days together?
Macy - Since my love language is quality time, I love to make sure that Andrew and I take time to have lunch together. Sometimes this means just sandwiches at home and other times we like to explore restaurants.
Andrew - I like spending my days with Macy watching I Love Lucy together, going on unique dates, and spending time downtown Columbia.
Do you have Bible verses that speak deeply to you and if so, what are they?
Macy - Romans 15:5- "May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had."
Andrew - John 15:13- "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."
What are some of the quirky, sweet things you love about your fiancé?
Macy - Andrew picks food out of his teeth with a straw. I used to think this was so embarrassing and gross until I tried it.
Andrew - I love that Macy spends thirty minutes to an hour on a strict nightly routine. I love it when she wears a face mask.
What was your Engagement session like for you? Was it what you expected??
Macy - I loved our engagement session! It went by very fast because the poses were so easily explained. We had so much fun walking around the square. I am so glad that we will have these photos from one of our favorite places.
Andrew - It was great! I had a good time. It was not awkward. It was different with changing clothes as I have never done that.
