Maria and Riley's Engagement Session

How did you two meet? Tell us a little about your love story.
We met each other in high school so we are "high school sweethearts" I guess you could say! We took dual enrollment classes at the Community College (located beside our high school) and became friends because we sat beside each other in art class. I pretended to need help on one of our essays and the rest is history!
What is a good weekend for the two of you?
Maria - A great weekend for us is to go on an adventure with our sweet puppy, Milo, while drinking a good cup of iced coffee! We also love to spend time with family together and just relax since we don't get to relax often.
Riley - A good weekend for us is exploring a new coffee shop and going for a hike with our dog, Milo. We are both dedicated college students, so doing something active outside in nature is rare!

How would your fiancé describe you?
Maria - I think my fiancé would describe me as genuine, caring, and determined.
Riley - I think my fiancé would describe me as passionate, loyal, and philosophical.
How do you like to spend your days together?
Maria - Trying new coffee shops!!! We LOVE coffee and pastries!!!
Riely - Drinking coffee is definitely a must when we spend days together. We also like to spend time with our families and try new activities.

Maria - "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

What are some of the quirky, sweet things you love about your fiancé?
Maria - Riley has a BROAD vocabulary and is always using words I feel like no one has ever heard of!! He is a very eloquent speaker and makes me so proud! I also love how much he loves me and our puppy, Milo.
Riley - I can always tell when Maria likes a food because she verbally expresses her enjoyment by saying "Yum"! She does this subconsciously, but I have always thought it was funny and sweet. It also helps me to know what her favorite foods are.
What was your Engagement session like for you? Was it what you expected??
Maria - Our engagement session was even better than I could have imagined! Deva made us feel really comfortable in front of the camera which made it a great experience! We laughed a lot and overall had a wonderful time! The weather was also super nice. I am so excited for our pictures to come back!
Riley - Our engagement session went much more smoothly than I anticipated. We don't have much experience with photo shoots, but Deva made the entire process comfortable and enjoyable! We both had a great time and are looking forward to seeing the pictures!
