Senior Spotlight: Meet Katie!
As Katie enters her final year of high school, a mix of excitement and nostalgia fills her heart. The prospect of the future is thrilling, yet she finds herself reflecting on the cherished memories and friendships that have intricately woven her high school experience. Recently, we had the pleasure of capturing some of these reflections in a memorable senior photo session at Centennial Park in Nashville, TN. As we meandered through the park, our conversation flowed effortlessly, much like the vibrant light and picturesque backgrounds we were seeking for her portraits. Katie arrived with an impressive selection of four adorable outfits, each change more seamless than the last—her speed in transforming from one look to the next was truly impressive. As the golden hues of the evening gave way to the serene blues of twilight, we concluded our session with a heartfelt farewell on the Pedestrian Bridge in downtown Nashville, a fitting end to a beautiful day of capturing memories.
A Creative Hobby
One of Katie’s favorite pastimes is making bracelets. She loves the process of picking out beads, choosing colors, and creating unique pieces that she can wear or share with friends. For Katie, it’s not just about the finished product, but the joy of crafting something with her own hands.
Cherishing Friendships
When she’s not working on her latest bracelet design, Katie enjoys spending her free time with friends. Whether it’s a casual hangout or an adventure, being with the people she loves is what brings her the most joy. The friendships she’s made, especially at church, have been some of the most meaningful and enduring relationships in her life.
High School Memories
High school has been full of memorable moments, but one that stands out to Katie is a day she’ll never forget—when she was too slow getting to the car at dismissal, and her sister accidentally left her behind. While it was frustrating at the time, it’s now a story that makes her laugh and a reminder of the small, quirky moments that make high school unique.
A Love for Nature and Adventure
Katie’s idea of fun is being in nature, surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors and the people she cares about. She dreams of traveling the world, exploring new places, and seeing wild animals in their natural habitats—maybe even on a safari one day!
Favorite Books and Shows
When it comes to downtime, Katie loves to dive into a good book or binge-watch her favorite shows. Her all-time favorite book series is The Selection, which she first discovered in middle school. As for TV, Friends is her go-to, a show that never fails to make her laugh. And when it comes to movies, The Proposal holds a special place in her heart for its humor and heartwarming moments.
Dreaming Big
Looking ahead, Katie’s dream job combines her love for nature, beauty, and creativity. She imagines owning a big property filled with flowers, transforming it into a wedding venue that others can rent out for their special day. She also dreams of running a little flower shop, turning her passion for flowers into a thriving business.
With her creativity, love for nature, and big dreams, there’s no doubt that Katie has an exciting future ahead. We can’t wait to see where her journey takes her! 🌸
